A tragic motorcycle accident on the Ibarska highway near Ljig, Serbia, has resulted in the deaths of two motorcyclists and serious injuries to a passenger. The collision occurred on September 6, 2026, around 5 p.m., involving a head-on crash between two motorcycles. One of the deceased riders was identified as I.T., a 47-year-old from Belgrade, while the other was A.V., a 31-year-old from Užice. The female passenger, K.T., who was riding with I.T., sustained serious injuries and was initially treated at the Valjevo hospital before being transferred to the Emergency Center in Belgrade. Although her injuries are severe, she is not in a life-threatening condition.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, and the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Mionica has been notified. The tragic event has prompted authorities to issue warnings about motorcycle safety, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to prevent such incidents.
