Sakr Gobaš, President of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is visiting Serbia for high-level meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and other officials, underscoring the growing relationship between the two nations.
During his multi-day visit, Gobaš will address the Serbian Parliament in a special session. The visit aims to strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties. Two memoranda of cooperation will be signed, marking a first between Serbia and the UAE’s General Secretariat.
Serbian Assembly President Ana Brnabić emphasized mutual respect and shared goals in discussions with UAE Ambassador Ahmed Hatim Almenhali. She pointed to the personal friendship between their leaders as key to fostering collaboration. Gobaš’s visit is expected to enhance ties further, particularly in political and economic areas.
Gobaš will tour significant development sites, including the Expo 2027 construction site, reflecting the UAE’s interest in Serbia’s infrastructure projects and potential investment opportunities. His itinerary includes a visit to Ložionica, showcasing Serbia’s industrial and cultural assets.
